    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roller camshaft installation #1 ordered a Custom camshaft . Went from flat top to roller. I Ordered a retrofit kit, I thought. Camshaft was shipped to me from the maker of the camshaft. Lifters came with camshaft. Retrofit kit should have 2 lifters hooked together, so no need for holders . #2 Lifters I get are roller, but are not hooked together. So I had to buy a hold down kit and spider to hold down keepers. #3 Roller camshaft uses a different cam gear, had to order a cam chain gear set and Camshaft holder. #4 push rods yes push rods. My push rods 7.8" so had to order 7.3" pushrods. #5 Anyone going from flat top Camshaft and lifters , better do your own home work. Because asked for a Retrofit Camshaft kit. I get a Roller cam for the engine I need from fuel injection system to carburetor. That was correct. Engine turned out great, camshaft works great. But the price of the extras, plus shipping , some next-day charges. Can't count on the expert's opinion. I have realised something from all this, I will always do my own homework and never ask a expert for advice. Because I am smarter than most.
