Rated 5 out of 5 by from Things to know about this kit. The dipstick that is included with this kit is terrible. The chrome plating flakes off and could get in the transmission. The transmission can come as BOP or Chevy. I had to reuse the tail-shaft and speedometer gears from the old transmission, since mine showed up as a BOP tail-shaft. It says this in the transmission's details, but not on this kit. I also had to track down the info about the dowel pins that are included with the engine. They are for blocking off the dipstick holes. You do not have to purchase the sheet metal covers that are suggested at the bottom of the page. The transmission and engine ship via freight on pallets at separate times. The other parts show up way before hand.

Q1: does this include a driveshaft, Q2 will it fit into my 2006 silverado 1500 that currently has a 4.3l V6, Q3 is a wiring harness included as well as a ECU?

    Asked by: Canyon
This is not a good fit for your truck. There is not driveshaft, and no wiring. You will also need to change the motor mounts for this.
