Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect fit I bought a 89 chevy truck with a bad engine (they ran it out of oil). SO I needed a new engine. this package was only $10. more than a rebuilt one from an auto parts chain store and It was shipped right to my door. I did not have to pick it up at the store and then return the core EASY...As I took the peaces off the old block and put them on the NEW one they fit perfect. There was no hassle all the bolt holes where in the right spots and they where the correct size, everything was where it belonged that made the switch much easier. I have about 100 miles on it now and it is running strong. can't wait to get through the break in miles so I can go out and see what it can do. I recommend this engine to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Direct replacement Bought it 2 weeks ago. Been driving it through the break in period. Engine is smooth, seems strong and good pressures! Very satisfied with transaction, delivery service and so far so good, a good engine! Thanks J.J.M.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As expected....sorta! I purchased this GM crate 350 TBI engine as a direct replacement to the one in my 1992 Chevy 2500 series truck. It shipped/showed up when stated (1 week) and everything was as advertised. My only issue would be it came with no paperwork, nothing about warranty, nothing about break in procedure, nothing! The only paper it did come with was a Chevrolet dealer warranty sheet for the dealer to be reimbursed for a warranty job/replacement that requires a dealer number etc. so this engine is supposed to come with a 3 year/100,000 mile warranty but I have no serial number or product number or whatnot if I need to make a claim in the future. Otherwise it’s all good.

what are the significant differences between the JEGS Replacement Crate Engine for 1987-1995 GM Truck, SUV, Van with Chevy TBI 350 ci, 5.7L Part Number: 059-8758 and Chevrolet Performance GM Goodwrench 350 Cast Iron Long Block Truck Engine besides $1000

    Asked by: Mike Smog
The main differences is that the Jegs engine has a 2 piece rear main seal and is built from a seasoned block and the GM engine is a 1 piece rear main seal and made from a new block. They both carry the same warranty.

why not a 4 bolt main caps or can you order it with 4 bolt crank main caps

    Asked by: cloudy59
This engine will handle a lot of HP, the 4 bolt main is not necessary for what this engine is designed to do.

Hi What flex plate size (tooth count) do you recommend for this engine? Thanks

It will depend on the transmission that you are using, but most applications will take the 168 tooth flexplate.

What type of tuning is required of the tbi on a 305 vs 350? These engines are only obd1 controlled. Would you be referring to jetting?

    Asked by: 94 truck
This would require some minor changes to the fuel pressure, there are no jets in the TBI. The best option is a new throttle body EFI system to make it perform well. https://www.jegs.com/p/FITech-Fuel-Injection/FiTech-GoStreet-EFI-400-HP-Throttle-Body-Systems/3539375/10002/-1
