The legendary COPO Camaro program got its start nearly 50 years ago with specialty 427 engines, and the latest COPO 427 racing crate engine builds on that legacy. It is built on the LSX engine block and features a high-compression rotating assembly, high-flow LS7 heads and a Holley Hi-Ram intake manifold for high-rpm power. You've got history on your side with the COPO 427! Chevrolet Performance engineers design and test all crate engines with the same methods used to develop production engines, ensuring their performance and durability. Each engine is hand-assembled in a specialty build facility.
