54-600-11 - Comp Cams Thumpr Hydraulic Roller Cams is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Low end torque Ive had this cam installed and tuned for my 2002 suburban with the 5.3 and even my tuner was impressed! The sound cant be beat and the low end torque is up dramatically. Not a huge difference up top but a noticable one. I paired this cam with the Jegs fabricated intake and went with the 92mm tb and couldnt be happier with the outcome. Also worth mentioning is i am currently on the stock converter and have no issues but just to get all the potential i plan on going with a 2500 stall.

I have a 2002 GMC Yukon with a stock 5.3 does this cam require a aftermarket stall and rear gearing?

    Asked by: Edinbyrd built
No, this can be used with the stock setup, a 2000 rpm stall converter will make it work even better.

Can i use just this cam with the rest remaining factory on the motor?

    Asked by: Tahoe beast
Custom ECU tuning is rewired to use this cam. You must also change valve springs.
