Rated 2 out of 5 by from Thin steel bad powder coat poor packaging I bought these to replace a set of Tactik wheels for my Cherokee. The Tactiks stuck out just a bit too far, and the backspacing on these Cragars made the tires sit under the flares just right. That was about the only good thing about them. I figured since Cragar had been around for 60 plus years they'd be a better wheel. Well, apparently they just coast along on their name instead of quality. The wheels feel much less substantial than the Tactiks. Holding each of them at the same time, the Cragars feel super thin. The Cragar packaging is a joke compared to Tactiks. They just shove the wheel in the box, which provides zero protection. The boxes were banged up and the powder coat was chipped on 3 of the 4 wheels lips. I realize that was probably done in shipping but if the wheels were protected better it wouldn't have been an issue. The Tactiks came in not only a thicker box, but they had cardboard inserts above and below the wheel, plastic trim that clipped over both lips and they were wrapped in plastic before being place in the box. Those boxes also arrived a little beat up but the wheels came out of them without a scratch on them. When I swapped the tires from wheel to wheel, I took the weights off the Tactiks to sell them to another person. You could tell there were weights on them afterwards, as they had minor scuffs in those spots, but the coating wasn't chipped at all. When I was putting the weights on the Cragars one of the clips was bent at the wrong angle so it didn't seat on the lip fully. When I took it off to close it up a bit it took a big chip of coating with it. That brings me to my last point and then I'm done. This one isnt about the Cragars but about Jegs. I've always heard, from every company that sells wheels ever, that once you mount a tire on the wheel you cant return them. Well, one of my wheels definitely had weights on it at some point before I bought it. There were chips in the powder coat and scuffs in the shape of wheel weights. Also, and this is a very minor thing but a thing none the less, they never sent me a tracking number for the order. When you place the order the auto response message says they'll provide an order confirmation email (never happened) and then a tracking number email as soon as the wheels ship (never happened). The only way I found out the order went through was to call them the next day to make sure. Then it was up in the air as to when they were scheduled for delivery. Nothing like four big boxes sitting on your front porch all day for anyone passing by to see (and take) because you weren't home when they got dropped off. Now at this point, you may be thinking "why wouldn't you just return them or exchange them?" I could have I suppose, if I hadn't already sold my old wheels and I had weeks to wait. Being that this is my daily driver, I didn't have weeks or even days to wait. Let me put that another way...the guy that bought my Tactiks, that I had never met before, that had already waited for these Cragars to be delivered to me and had already taken the day off work to meet me at the tire shop didn't have days to wait. Also, I realize some people will say "the wheels will get scuffed and scratched offroad so it's not a huge deal". While they will get dinged up, they shouldn't come brand new that way. Would any of you buy a brand new Jeep off the lot that looked like it had been driven through thick overgrowth and over rocks? No freakin' way. Now of course I have to buy one more of these wheels for a spare but that will be the last Cragar product I ever buy and I wont be buying it from Jegs. Now let's see if they actually post this since it also pertains to their shipping and reselling used (or at least installed) products that are clearly damaged. In the end, the wheels are on and after touching them up they look good. I just wish Tactik had a 4.75" backspacing option.
