    Hotcoat PowderCoat Gun

Power unit supplies over 9000v DC at 15 micro amps. Plugs into grounded 110-120v AC outlet. Gun requires as little as 0.5 cfm at 5-10 psi. Fill cup no more than 1/4 to 1/3 full, and wave the nozzle in a circular motion about 4-6" from the surface for best results. Do not apply powder into a small boxed area.

One 8 ounce bottle of powder (not included) covers the same area as 2-3 cans of spray paint, and clean up is easy, since you can simply sweep up the oversprayed powder. Contains no environmentally harmful solvents. HotCoat powder coating requires a 5-10psi compressed air source and dedicated electric oven or toaster oven.

    Manufacturer's Part Number:

These innovative systems by Eastwood will allow you to achieve the benefits of powdercoating small parts instead of painting them. Powder coated surfaces are great because they are far more resistant to scratches, chipping, fading and wear than most other finishes. You will also find the color selection is virtually unlimited and most being UV resistant, colors stay bright and vibrant for much longer. Texture selections range from smooth surfaces to a wrinkled or matte finish.

  • 10198 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good hobbyist equipment To get this out of the way, this is the single-voltage model, so you don't get any selectability with regard to voltage off the flyback transformer in the base unit. That said, it does the job up to at least two coats (e.g. if you've got a base/clear powder system like I did). The only weakness I note is the ground wire is very thin and flimsy. I discarded it after not being able to get in the nooks and crannies of my wheels in favor of a big 8 gauge cable to my service ground. All in all, an excellent choice for the hobbyist hoping to save a few bucks and do it him/herself!
