Rated 5 out of 5 by from A quality piece of work! This is the 2nd 3" flared to 4" Gibson exhaust tip I've purchased. I like the larger 4" exit, as it gives a SBC, i.e. 350 C.I. a bit more low tone growl when you lean on the throttle. More of a big block sound if you will. When you install this one over a 3" O.D. pipe, make sure the edge of the pipe is thoroughly de-burred, as this tip fits tight as intended. I apply a thin coat of copper anti-seize to the pipe and tip to help ease the tip over the pipe. This is especially beneficial if the pipe is a standard aluminized type. I use 304 SS in my applications for longevity, but still apply some anti-seize anyway. This makes for future disassembly easier.
