Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money I've put shorty headers on trucks before and this pipe make my K1500 feel like there's a set of headers on it even with stock manifolds. Fit nice too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1988 K2500 w/OEM manifolds review I bought this to install on my 1988 K2500 with a 5.7 that has the original cast exhaust manifolds and studs. The "Y" pipe its self is constructed well and has smooth transitions inside. The o2 sensor bung is positioned nicely for a wideband o2 sensor about 2" or so after the"Y" pipe on the 3" merge point for accutate AFR measutement from both banks of the engine. The bends are mandrel bent and the flanges are thick! The only gripe I have is the holes in the flanges are not accurately spaced for the OEM exhaust studs. The pattern of the OEM stud configuration on the cast exhaust 5.7 manifolds are "tighter" that the provisions in the provided flange. I drilled the holes of flanges with a larger bit to remedy the problem and then carefully massaged the holes with a pneumatic grinder and a narrow tapered burr bit to create an elliptical shape which accommodated the "Tighter" stud pattern. The OEM stud springs and nuts cleared perfectly despite the tighter pattern. Other than the flange hole pattern issue this Y pipe is a well built exhaust component.
