Rated 5 out of 5 by from concerned about the lifters made in mexico I bought this cam combo, Has anyone had any issues with the cam and lifters after break in? the lifters say made in Mexico, I've heard not to use lifters without ring around bottom of lifter indicating hardened tip. was told to only use Howards , comp, or delphi lifters. Just dont wanna have to take engine apart if lobe is rounded or lifter fails.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from failed After proper break in with Lucas break-in oil, the 1 lobe went flat and 1 lifter destroyed. Had to open it back up, ended up going with Howards retro roller cam and lifter kit. Spend the extra $$ for a roller cam, Very disappointed with Jegs quality in these flat tappets, machining work is not being checked, cam lobes seem to have no taper, and lifters are crap. it ran great for a while, but failed with less than 200 miles. had the same issue with a 302 ford Jegs cam and lifter install a year ago, ran great for 3 days then 3 lobes failed. Never again!!

Ok it said above its a .488 lift with 1.5 rockers. My question is can I Ron a set of 1.6 roller rockers with this cam and if so how much more lift will this be on the valve side. I have a 69 350 .30 over with flat top pistons with 4 valve releifs.thanks

    Asked by: Kenny82
With a 1.6 rocker arm this cam will have a valve lift of .520"

Does this cam require valve spring upgrade?

    Asked by: KennethH
With that lift and duration; yes and the heads will need to be machined for the larger springs

If the rpm range is 3000 to 6200 how would a 1500-2000 stall work with this cam?

    Asked by: doug66762
A 1500-2000 stall would not work very well. A stall 28-3200 is recommended for this cam.
