Rated 5 out of 5 by from Header back Dual Exhaust Sorry Review so long, but wanted to be informative as I had questions myself due to this being a 351W and FMX Transmission Car. Parts arrived in 3 days. These are going on a 1969 Grande Coupe with 351W, FMX Automatic Trans and Headers. Couldn't find an affordable set of headers (less than $500) not even Hedman, although their tech support said they thought a pair of "shorty" headers might work due to clearance issues with this being a 351W car and the steering box, Said if any other small block headers wouldn't be an issue. We went with the Hedman "shorty" headers. They cleared the steering box (I think a set of long tube's might have fit, but not sure). Only 2 slight issues with the exhaust and they were minor as minor issues always happen. 1. The exhaust shop had to weld a 2-3 inch piece of pipe on the left side to reach the header, if you were using stock manifolds no modification would have been needed. Issue 2. The passenger side pipe that went over the axle they had to give the pipe a slight bend so the exhaust tip would line up perfectly straight with the valance panel as replaced the stock valance panel with 1 with the dual cutouts. Like I said only had 2 real non-issues, but wanted to give others that might have a car like we are restoring (351W and FMX Auto Trans) some helpful info due to this combo and info to others that were thinking about purchasing this kit. Would definitely recommend. Nothing is ever perfect, but this kit was pretty much spot-on. We went with the kit without mufflers as we are putting flow master 40's on it, and Exhaust cutouts :) Will post pix and videos of the car and exhaust system with cutouts both open and closed so all have better idea of what your vehicle might sound like/ We have stroked to a 408, Eagle Forged Internals, Comp cam, all Aluminum top end, AFR Heads, Edelbrock Performer Intake, Quick Fuel 750 Carb. And a Hughes 2500 stall converter. Will post pix and vids when we get car back from exhaust shop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jegs Mustang dual exhaust kit This will need to be cut to fit. Nice pipes, mandrel bends, has all the clamps and hanging hardware. Good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit well on 67 Mustang with 390 and Hooker longtub Good pipe, smooth bends, I do however recommend better collector gaskets. I used this on a 67 Mustang with 390 and Hooker Longtubes. Offset/Center mufflers worked, but offset/offset may have put the tailpipes at a straighter angle. They still fit great and the pipes line up with my GT rear valance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit perfect I have a 65 Falcon Sprint that I bought this kit for, and it fits absolutely perfect for this car also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall decent Had to do some cutting and welding but worked great for what I needed it for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid system The header-back system for 64 to 73 Mustangs required several modifications to make it fit off my Hooker competition headers that are not parallel. I'm not sure why the collector is at 45 and the intermediate pipe is at 45, but some cutting and ugly connectors made it work well. I am nowhere near as talented as the other installers/reviewers for this product and I do not know how to weld effectively - a pair of connectors and extra clamps were needed. The pipes are thicker/heavier than I expected. Like other reviewers, the passenger side tailpipe fit but was not as straight as it needed to be and is going to bug me until I have it fixed. Kudos to the review with the pictures - great work. So you don't have to weld, but I would recommend it. Also great price considering the flowmaster tailpipes are the same price as this whole setup with collectors, clamps and hangers. Unlike the suggested offset to offset mufflers, I think offset/center mufflers would fit better for a 65 Mustang setup.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great base to start with This kit is great for a base to start off of. My headers weren’t exactly parallel to the trans so the bends before the muffler had to be cut off and i ran it my own way. I welded all the joints. The only reason for 4 stars is the right tail pipe was bent weird and i had to tweak it to make it look right. Otherwise i am totally happy with how it turned out. Way better than having an exhaust shop do it.
