I have a 70 Chevy C10 shirt narrow. I have installed a 2004R in it but it burned up at 250 miles. Has a floor shifter. Modified drive line. Has a 355 450 HP pro-street engine. Will a 700R4 work? Does it have the same rear spline? I have a lockout kit.

    Asked by: LGR58
The 200R4 and the 700R4 have the same 27 spline output shaft and the 700R4 is a better transmission.

Will this fit my 1968 LeMans? It has a 400ci and 2spd powerglide.

    Asked by: 68maniac
Yes, if this is a Chevy engine, you will still need to fabricate some of the accessories.

I have a 1984 GMC 1 Ton Van with a 350 5.7L Engine and a 3-speed auto. will this trans swap and if so does the drive shaft need to be modified and if lockup wiring kit is needed which one should be used?

    Asked by: Cjizmoeso
We would only recommend this transmission if you are replacing a 700R4. You may need to modify the transmission tunnel depending on the transmission being used now.

will this transmission work in a 56 chevy if so what would i need to make the swap i have a 4 speed manual now

    Asked by: bethel
It will depend on the engine you are using. You will need a flexplate and will need to fabricate a crossmember and have a driveshaft made.

WILL THIS WORK IN 72 C10 WITH 454

    Asked by: DANPBG
Yes, you will have to add a transmission controller (cable) to make this work properly.

I need to change the trans in my 71 C10 with a 305 out of an 83. I think this will work, right? The shifter is on the floor out of a 2000 Bravada so I already reversed the mount.

    Asked by: keithL
You just want to match the transmission with your engine to keep the swap simple.

    Asked by: Eric D
