Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please read, a few tips, before you buy! First things first...The assembly instructions are useless! It's a good thing that this item comes mostly assembled because otherwise I might have been lost. Item numbers are incorrect or missing, it's not clear how to assemble the light switch or the suction tube, and the images resemble childhood sketches. Eventually however, I was able to figure things out, and complete the assembly. The following is a list of deficiencies, of the unit itself in no particular order, to help you decide whether-or-not to purchase this item. 1) Item 23 (screen) is a little undersized and has sharp edges since it doesn't have an outer frame or trim around the edges as it's picture shows. 2) Item 14 (plastic suction hose) is too short which restricts the ability to position the sanding gun as freely as I would like. 3) Suction hose clamps (unnumbered) are of extremely poor quality and inadequate for their intended use. I replaced them with copper tubing clamps which work better...see photos. Although it may not sound like it...I am pleased and satisfied with my purchase, although I would prefer a larger unit, I couldn't pass on the sale price. For your reference I have included some photos in hopes of helping others complete their assembly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs some TLC A great sandblasting cabinet. The blaster that comes with it does not suck up media well and sometimes blows air into the media creating a mess. A universal air quick connect would be a better input for air and allow for different sand blasting units to be quickly changed. (I have three). A fan powered filter should be incorporated into the unit to increase the visibility when blasting. I have made these changes to the cabinet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good value Comes mostly assembled. Just need to put on legs and the bottom tray. Works very well. Good value Only issue I see so far is the door gasket leaks. I installed some more foam tape and all is well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from work's Got it in the other day and put it together that night. The instructions are not the best but simple to put together one person can do it alone but it you got someone to help it would go quicker. Mine did arrive with some damage to the plexiglass about a 3 to 4 inch crack in it. But all things aside it does what it's supposed to do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works good ! For the price, this is a good little cabinet for small clean up jobs. My son and I are rebuilding an old Yamaha motorcycle and it is working great. Taking another reviewer's advice, I sprayed all the panel seams on the inside with Rustoleum Leak Seal (like that stuff they sell on TV) and we only have a one minor leak. Connected the cabinet to my shop vac and it keeps the dust down. Could use a brighter light though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK for the price. It's slightly different than the pictures for sale. The lower grate is cheaper, however the top cabinet comes pre assembled. The instructions reflect the older design and could use to be updated. I replaced the barb connection and coupler for the airline. As what was shipped appeared to be metric not 1/4 NPT. Had to resolder the electrical connections as the solder job failed for the light connection. Also the plexiglass had a nice scratch right out of the box as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works well but needs modifications This blaster cabinet ships as a complete knock down, like IKEA shelving. It's about 45 minutes of screwing around to assemble and the sealing tape meant to keep the glass beads inside the cabinet really doesn't work very well. One hint, after assembly and BEFORE adding glass beads, get a can of Clear Flex Seal (yeah, the stupid spray stuff from the TV commercials) and seal all the inside seams and corners where the cabinet sides come together. Use the entire can - give the inside of the cabinet corners and the bottom gaps 3-4 coats over 24 hours, let it dry and then add the glass beads. I found out the hard way and spent an hour removing the beads and cleaning the cabinet before using the Flex Seal. Prior to the Flex Seal, the air in my shop was a glass dust factory and I was picking glass beads out of my nose so I bought a particulate respirator - HIGHLY recommended even after sealing! Once assembled and Flex Sealed, I had an issue with the gloves coming loose. Be sure to really horse down the gear clamps with a large handle screw driver. The included "air filter" is virtually worthless because the abrasive sprayer puts out so much dust it plugs the filter in minutes. I removed the filter and hooked up a dust collection port for my shop vac and it worked a LOT better. Once I did all the retrofitting mentioned above, the blaster cabinet works well. But even with the shop vac hook up and the light turned on, it's hard to see and I have to wipe off the inside of the top of the cabinet every ten minutes or so. It's not an ideal setup out of the box for sure but for $150, I didn't really expect much. I've been able to resurrect two 75 year old Baily bench planes that were rusted to death and make them look new. The blaster definitely works but be prepared to do a lot of retrofitting, have a decent air compressor with a pressure regulator and a well ventilated garage area or use it outdoors and get a particulate respirator. I'm a bit conflicted on the "would you recommend this to a friend question"? "Maybe is my real answer because the friend would have to be pretty shop savvy, have a lot of street sense for building stuff and be pretty creative. I'll say "yes" because I figure most Jegs users will fit that bill. My lingering question is where to get parts down the road - I don't see much in the way of replacement ceramic nozzles, parts or inside cover replacements on the Jegs website. I'll cross that bridge down the road. Good luck!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Instructions are very poor. And it arrived with a broken lid. I’m tempted to return it and shop elsewhere I’m not happy. Legs bend way too easy. Very cheaply made
