Can these be used to retrofit OEM roller cams in early (289) blocks IF installing spider and tie bars? Rusty answered that oil band is about 1 5/8" above roller. Is oil hole hole below top of band or is there a notch or round cutout like OEM lifters? Tx

    Asked by: stanz289
These are factory replacements not retrofits, and the oil hole is below the band there is not a notch or cut out.

Can you tell me what the approximate distance from the bottom of the roller to the top of the oil band/oil hole is? The photo of the part number 20822 seems to have a lower oil hole position than the stock/OEM Ford 5.0L lifter. Thanks! Stan

That distance is approximately 1 5/8"
