What is the diameter of the circular weld-on area of the axle brackets? I have a 64 Ford Fairlane 8" rear axle housing. Will these work on that?

    Asked by: JCSmith
The axle brackets are cut to fit a 3" diameter axle tube.

I'm installing this setup on a 59 Chevy stepside truck. Do I have to weld the plates to the axle in the orientation that the picture is (hanging downward) for correct operation or can I invert the plates so they mount upwards for more ground clearance?

    Asked by: Hittman
This can be mounted either way, it may not perform as well as you are changing the roll center, but for this application it will probably be fine.
