Rated 5 out of 5 by from spring tester Jegs 80539 This is a really nice unit for testing springs up to 1,000 pounds,I used it to check and setup the springs in my .800 lift big block Ford.It worked flawlessly really impressed very accurate unit!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Calibration way off I purchased a calibrated valve spring to make sure this tool is reasonably accurate and it is way off based on my tests. At the specified checking distance, the gauge should have read 75 lbs. and it was still on 0. At the open checking distance, the gauge should have been 150 lbs. and it was approximately 60 lbs. The calibrated spring was purchased on the same order from Jegs and is manufactured by Comp cams. I expected 5-10% error, but 50-75% makes this tool basically useless. I will be returning it and trying a tester from a different manufacturer and with a tighter range. The overall quality of the tool appeared to be good, but it was not accurate.
