Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dirty Deeds suburban build i put this on after 2 layers of the sound deadener then 2 coats of this insulation and WOW!! a quick call to lizard skins tech support (Thanks Cody) and a quick mix and i was ready to shoot it. It looks great, lowered the BB in a tin can sound for sure and sounds SOLID!!! here's some pictures, now on to installing the interior!! the only reasons for only 4 stars for value is we all wish things could be cheaper, LOL!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lizard skin worked so well the first time I used it on a aluminum trailer roof that I used it on my new trailer. I lightly sanded the roof rhen cleaned with acetone before spraying on. The only thing I disagree with is the air pressure they suggest was way to high, I set my regulator to 20 psi, other wise it was was really easy to apply.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from interesting product I am completing someone else's started restoration on a 57 Corvette. I am using these products to soundproof and heat insulate the interior of the car- floor, gas tank cover, and doors. The sound insulation product is supposed to be sprayed, but we didn't have that option and I ended up rolling it. (3 coats was about forty mils, I think) This was quite easy. It goes on well, flows out nicely, dries hard. How well it deadens sound is yet to be seen, but other folks who have used it have liked it a lot. The heat insulation product seems to consist of air-filled particles or fibers in a heavy latex binder. It is VERY thick. Hard to imagine it would go through any spray gun, but they insist it will. In any case, we did not have that option. So I rolled and brushed that on, too. It's much thicker than the sound product, and I had to stir it for a long time and add a bit of water, but after that it was rollable and lies down nicely. Although these are not catalyzed products, they seem to cure thoroughly to a hard finish and appear durable. We're going to paint over the cured LZ coatings and then start putting the wiring and gauges in. Last of all will be the carpets, seats, and windows and door panels. So far, so good. Full report to follow in a month or two (I hope) on how well these products do their job of reducing transmitted sound and heat. On their advice, I bought the 2gallon sizes. This is FAR too much for the floor, doors, etc of a 1957 Vette, which has a small passenger space. 1gal each would have been plenty. Finally, I bought the sound material in black (only color available) and the heat insulation in white- this made it easier to see where the holidays were when applying the second material. for the sound deadening, the color changes enough with drying that it is easy enough to see to cover completely with additional coats.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked great, the last time I purchased it, but.. Honestly I was a bit of a lizard Skin fan boy after I used the sound deadener and ceramic coating on my last car. This time it would not spray good using their gun and no matter how much I mixed it. Expiration date was good. I even contacted Lizard Skin customer support 3 times with no usable assistance. I use this in the fenders, pan and engine compartment but I think I will just go back to raptor liner as the customer service and product does not match the cost.
