    69846 - Michelin X-Ice XI3 Winter Tires is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 127.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best in the market Bought these tires a few years ago and I was extremely happy with the performance. Both on city and on mountain roads(not offroad). I thought most of the winter tires were similar until yesterday when I see the importance of a quality set of wheels. I would totally buy it again if I ever live in a cold city or get an SUV again. Hats off to Michelin. Using ps4's right now :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great road manners, grip, comes in many sizes. I have a 1990 Miata and these were some of the only few tires that were available for 14" rims that were a name brand tire. That's not to shame on cheaper brands, they can be very surprising in terms of value. I ADORE these tires, especially for my rear wheel drive car. I've had them on for this season and last season as my dedicated winter tires. my others are performance summers. My dimensions are 185/60r14. These tires first and foremost have amazing grip in slush and ice, similar to Bridgestone Blizzaks and Nokian Hakkapolitta 7's, though those tires I've tried on other cars, as they aren't available with a 14 inch diameter. They have a great sense of road feel and your limits with grip, even in icy conditions, which comes in handy for controlling oversteer. They also do not have a tendency to "plow" or understeer in heavy snow. On dry pavement they have soft sidewalls which is to be expected, however are decent in cornering grip, for a snow tire anyways. They perform flawlessly at any cold temperature and only start to get very soft around 60 degrees, which is to be expected. They also have tend to have a "floaty" feel at higher speeds and you might find yourself swaying slightly and needing to correct. For reference, my alignment specifically my toe settings are within spec. The tires have some noise especially on wet tarmac however they're MUCH quieter than Blizzaks. I took a trip last year from New Hampshire to Ontario, down to Kentucky and then back. Different weather and temperatures, road conditions, and lots of highway and they were sturdy, straight, and decently quiet. I've put 18,000 miles on these and they have plenty of life left. Overall these are wonderful, and less expensive than some other snow tires while offering huge value and performance. I'm very happy with these tires and they come in many different sizes and widths. I worry about Michelin continuing to offer these tires. Nobody has 15 inch tires anymore, nevermind me with my tiny 14's. If the company is reading this please continue to offer them in this size! You'll absolutely have at least one customer (me!) for a long time to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable!!! Wow these things a unbelievable. I made to work every day last winter and I owe it all to these. I live in North Dakota and drive a minivan 36 miles to work. There was one time after a blizzard on the way in a co-worker fallowed me in and didn't realize it. He was telling people he only made it in because there was a a big 4x4 blazing a trail for him to fallow in his f150 and he would not have made it other wise. Mean while it was me in a minivan pushing 3+ inches of snow all the way, these things are truly unreal. Also after 6 months of driving/and tire rotation last year they still look almost new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waited for icey roads before leaving my review. Shocked to find they are more quite than my Summer Continentals sort of felt like responsive memory foam slippers for my car. Today I got on really icey roads most folks were skidding out at 45mph , I was absolutely stable at 60mph (many cars off the road today) I pushed to get a sense of loosing traction, when it did occur the recovery was extremely brisk!!! Worth every penny and I will buy another set in 40k miles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing tire. PERIOD. Tread life, winter road grip and safety is bar none. I run Xi3's on all our fleet vehicles, and never had a single vehicle go off the road, or have a collision. We get over 35K miles of winter driving on every set. These Xi3's are also super quiet and keep your MPG the same as standard tires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised I'm no expert on tires and this is my first set of winter tires. Haven't seen snow or slush yet but on dry, cold pavement they are beyond my expectations. Pretty much like touring tires with very little extra zippy noise but decent handling and good comfort. Water evacuation seems really good over small puddles. The only area where it lacks so far is at hard breaking but that is expected from the softer compound. Based on 225/45R17 on Jag X-type.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I sell these tires! They are great! Just bought these for an older Honda Accord that I am using for winter transportation. This car is probably not worth what I paid for the Michelin winter tires, but boy do they give it ice and snow traction! Well worth the cost! We just got a bad ice storm right after I installed them, and I felt confident everywhere I drove them. In my opinion, they are better than the Bridgestone Blizzak tire. I sell Michelin and BFGoodrich tires, as well as all the other major brands and these are by far the best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Transformed my Honda Civic These are a must if you live in Michigan. They completely transformed my Honda Civic from a roller skate to velcro-like grip on winter roads. It's almost like having all-wheel drive. I bought a set for my new Impala too and they perform great. No more white knuckle driving even in bad conditions. Make the investment and switch out those all-season tires. Well worth the cost.
