Before my wife and I got married she always brought her Nissan Rogue to the dealer for oil changes every 3,000 miles with conventional oil. The valve train was incredibly noisy with what ever oil the dealer used. The first time I changed the oil at home the drained oil was solid black. I used conventional oil that time and changed it again in about 1,500 miles with Mobil 1. It was amazing how much quieter the engine became after driving it only a few miles with Mobil 1. Now it's time for a third oil change with Mobil 1. The engine doesn't burn any oil, but at about 6,500 miles I start to hear the valve train a little more, but not as much as with the conventional oil. Also, I use the Mobil 1 extended oil filter. It's hard to believe but with this oil it feels like the vehicle accelerates better than it did before switching. Incidentally I called Mobil 1's 800 number when buying the oil at Costco to find out what viscosity to use. The person I spoke with at Mobil 1 recommended 0w-30, but acknowledged that 5w-30 is recommended by Nissan for a 2011 Rogue. I was apprehensive to use a different oil than recommended by Nissan at first so I used 5w-30 the first time, and later switched to 0w-30. Both worked fine without any oil consumption. Many years ago I owned a repair shop. I still do my own maintenance despite not particularly enjoying it in order to make sure it's done correctly. I'll continue using Mobil 1. My other car has had Mobil one since the first oil change, and so far no problems.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from The 1 says it all! Been using Mobil 1 ever since my first new vehicle required synthetic oil. I was so impressed with it, I've used it in loads of engines since. From my daily driver 2004 Toyota Tacoma to my ATV, Mobil 1 protects them all! I decided to give the 0W-30 advanced fuel economy a try, initially thinking it was a bogus claim to improve fuel economy, but I stand corrected! My truck gained a 1-2 extra miles per gallon according to my calculations! So the 0W-30 will be my go to oil for my Tacoma from now on! Plus living in a frigid gold climate in the winter, the lower viscosity should help cold starts a lot as my truck is parked outside and doesn't have a block heater to help it along on cold mornings. Last winter, my home state broke records for freezing temperatures and snowfall, I'm glad knowing that Mobil 1 is there to keep the engine running strong, no matter how hot or cold it is outside! There's a good reason there's a 1 in Mobil 1, because it's the best and nothing compares to it! All the other competitors have to "compare" their synthetics to Mobil 1 to try and sway customers, yet Mobil 1 doesn't do anything like that because they don't have to make silly claims to prove what they have is the best. I mean if it's good for a 500 mile race at Daytona in an engine that's cranking out 9000 rpm's and building insane heat and friction, it's more than good enough for my truck I think!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Satisfied Used in both 2007 Vehicles, Dodge 3.3 in a minivan and GM/Northstar in a Buick. Excellent oil. Great cold weather starts. Excellent running 80+ with AC on in Summer as well. Handles heat really well, Idling in Summer.
