Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad product all around I bought this speedo cable for my Demon because it was the only cable I could find with the proper large nut on the transmission side of the cable to fit my trans. I had high hopes as it was the more expensive cable. I followed the instructions and greased the inner cable as told and installed exactly as described. The speedo still did not work properly. On the speedo side of the cable, if I secure it to the actual speedo housing as instructed, the speedo bounces all over the place. If I put just the inner cable into the speedo housing it works with a small tick to the speedometer. On the transmission side of the cable, the metal sleeve that was crimped onto the cable was not crimped properly which caused a large amount of transmission fluid to leak out and down the cable, that ultimately ended up all down my exhaust pipe and would smoke badly when the car was warm... I have since had to remove the cable and wrap that housing with RTV sealant to get it to stop. For the price of this cable I shouldn’t have to do that. Period.

Is this a 7/8 on the transmission end?

    Asked by: fast dart
It should be, it is an OEM replacement for the Mopar application shown on the web page.
