Think of it as an Ignitor with brains.

Gain horsepower, quicker starting and longer plug life with a Pertronix Ignitor II; and you'll never change or adjust points again. The Pertronix Ignitor II shares the same features that make the current Ignitor so popular but has added a powerful new microcontroller, that controls the dwell period, for the best possible spark over the entire RPM range. Ignitor II offers enhanced performance levels only found in more expensive ''box type'' ignition systems. Compared to point type systems, develops on average 4 times more available energy between 3000 and 5000 RPM and 2 times more available plug voltage. 50-State Legal EO#D57-2

    91665A is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok so far This was pretty easy to install but instructions were poor for this specific model (used on my 74 Landcruiser). Instructions said only one screw would line up & hold down the breaker assembly but 2 lined up so I used 2. Where the wires and grommet exit the ignitor 2 assembly is directly in line with the hole in the distributor so there’s not enough room for slack to allow the plate to move/advance. I just tried to route as best I could to make some room for a bit of a loop. I’ve since seen that in other installations online. The engine started right up after installation and the time just happened to be perfect. Don’t know yet how it will perform as it too cold to drive topless yet here in SD
