A pair of wheel chocks to prevent your car from rolling as you lift it, a precision 2 ton trolley jack (5-3/8 in. to 13 in. lifting range) to raise it and two dependable 2 ton jack stands (10-3/8 in. to 16-3/8 in. lifting range) that are strong enough to support it.
Once the car is securely chocked and resting on the jack stands, you can use the folding 36 inch creeper to slip underneath and find the problem.
