    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powertrax lockers I purchased a unit to fit in the front axle of my 91 W350 Dodge Cummins and it worked exactly as advertised, in fact maybe a bit better than advertised. I later had a lockout hub fail but it didn't render my 4x4 helpless! In fact, even with only 1 driven front wheel along with the Posi rearend, the truck was able to pull itself along with a 27 ft stock trailer loaded with 14 grown Buffalo in it, out of a very bad mud hole going into a ranch loading dock, the only wheel that was able to get a grip on solid ground was the working front tire, the rest where in a foot of mud and water with frozen earth under that. Now I'm working on replacing the spool that was installed in a 9 inch Ford open diff that was removed from a street rod which I purchased from a local speed shop for my latest rod project. Spools are Ok for drag race only but NO good on the street. As for my Dodge, driving it on snowy or icy roads in 4x4 is a bit touchy/ spooky, it's fine as long as you're going straight with just the right amount of power but don't let off the throttle unless you are really paying attention and don't try turning unless you are moving very slowly unless you can take it out of locked axle which requires getting out of the cab to unlock the hubs then make the turn and relock. The truck can be turned on ice but it take careful manuvering and throttle control along with space. Dry road is Ok but will let you know it is working as intended. Traction to both wheels is always there!
