Rated 4 out of 5 by from Valve spring tester I have had this tester for a few weeks, and have had a chance to use it. The tester works well, but I do have one complaint- The base of the tester's load cell is not parallel to the "jack" mechanism. It's not far off, but I'm sure it affects the accuracy by a few pounds. My previous tester failed after 20 years (an Intercomp digital unit), and after comparing price, I went with this unit (the Intercomp unit is $400 more- now I see why!). This unit will suit my needs, but I'm considering getting my Intercomp unit repaired. Knowing what I do now, this unit is good, but I am disappointed with the build quality of this Proform model.
