    Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1984 D250 318 I purchased a 1984 Dodge D250 from California and the previous owner converted the electronic ignition to points. After days repairing the wiring on the truck I decided to convert back to electronic ignition system. This was easy to install and the truck starts, runs and improved performance over the points ignition system. Only takes a 1/2 hr to install. I would highly recommend this product.

The original would not spark when it was below 50 degrees outside. I used the kit to install system used on 1986 and early 1987 igniton. Install was easy and truck has not run this well in some time.

Recently the module went out and I found that the diaphragm was cracked in numerous places - this is after 2 years, 8K highway miles. Jegs cannot recommend a replacement part - only the whole kit.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from bought 3 yrs ago,worked good to start with but now once you get it started,might run 30 secs.,then it quits,get it running again,might run for a few minutes,then quits again,had it running until i shut it off,will start again 4 or 5 times,then let it set overnight,it won.t start again.i have had it running and go over and try and wiggle the plug on the module any it sounds like it wants to quit.any suggestions would be appreciated.i'm about ready to throw it away and put back the old point system.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mopar should pull their name from this I bought this kit to replace a different style electronic ignition system on a D100. I had used a true Mopar Performance kit like this on another conversion on a Charger in 1991 and it was a cake walk. I DROVE the truck into the shop for a tune up and upgrade. I never got the truck to run more than a minute once the Proform kit was installed. After hours of isolating, checking voltage and resistance, and picking up a replacement ballast and module....I quit. After pulling the distributor I gave the shaft a spin only to hear grinding. I took the cap off to double check the gap at the pick-up. It was fine. Spun the shaft....no noise. Put the ill fitting cap back on.....noise. Come to find out that the pick-up design interferes with the cap. The cap also has a series of small flat spot all the way around the surface that touches the distributor. Almost like the mold was not fully machined. Lesson.......you get what you pay for so stay away from this kit. I also want to add that the staff at Jegs has been most helpful and supportive through this process. I will continue to do business with them.

    I have a 1989 dodge w100 with throttle body injection and I'm converting it to carb so will this work for mine

    Your current distributor should work with a carburetor. This kit is made to convert from a point distributor to an electronic unit.

    I’ve installed the pro form kit but my car will still not start. I have a 1978 Plymouth Volare with the 318 originally a 2 Barrel lean burn car. I have removed the lean burn and installed the kit. If you could let me know what else I should check. Thanks

    This will work on the '89 360 if it is a carburetor engine. It is not compatible if using an ECU or fuel injection.

    I got 86 pick up and it had slant six im putting in 318 but the engine I bought has holey throttle body would love to keep it tbi but don't have harness any ideas thank you
