Rated 5 out of 5 by from SLP ZL1 Heat Extractor Vent (on a 2012 Mustang) Planning a S/C install on my Mustang, yes a Mustang. Wanted to evacuate as much heat as possible while still using the stock hood. After a bunch of research I choose this SLP version of a Camaro ZL1 hood vent. It was inexpensive, good looking and offered much better underhoid clearance than the original OEM version. Obviously this vent was never intended as a Mustang replacement part but I've seen it used on many other non-Camaro applications. I personally think it's the best looking and one of the most effective heat extractors currently on the market today. My only gripe is that it didn't include some universal instructions and template for the guys placing these on other vehicles. Sure the included instructions are great for the direct swap of the original OEM part on a 2014-2015 Camaro but many people are using this vent as an universal bolt on mod on everything from dedicated race cars, family sedans and even Mustangs, yes Mustangs (well maybe I'm the first one to place it on a Mustang...LOL). I highly recommend this part for all performance enthusiasts. It doesn't matter if you're placing it on the intended application or just painstakingly cutting into the hood of your current pride and joy...this part gets the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I have a stsv which has a simiar cowhood to the camero. I was able to cut a hole in the hood and got the extractor to fit flush. Even with the super charger underneath the hood closes. You can modify it to fit any car with a cowhood and smaller supercharger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit! Did all the cutting and work myself for this item and it fits and like great. That's all second to it being functional and keeping my engine bay a bit cooler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SLP provides clearance needed for superchargers. I bought this after I installed a Magnacharger supercharger on my 2014 Camaro because the factory heat extractor would not clear the supercharger. The SLP heat extractor will clear the supercharger but you can't use the included drip tray without grinding down a small 2"x2" section. The drip tray rubs on the front corner of the supercharger. The SLP extractor is the best value compared to other heat extractor choices out there for those that need more supercharger clearance on their Camaro.

What are the measurements. I want to put this on a S10 Cowl Hood will it fit

    Asked by: Randy G
Unfortunately SLP doesn't have dimensions for this when we called. The only suggestion is to find someone with a 2014-2015 Camaro SS or 1LE model and get the dimensions from them. We apologize that we can't get you an answer.
