Sonnax 34262-10 case saver retainer for GM TH400 and early style 4L80E automatic transmissions is a perfect addition when performing a rebuild. The case saver fits inside the case over the intermediate band anchor lug and extends reward to support the intermediate clutch backing plate retainer rind to prevent the case lug from blowing out. Sonnax has engineered this saver to support retaining the intermediate band which is typically eliminated in drag racing trans-brake applications.
Features
- Compatible with or without the intermediate band
- Protects the case lugs from blowing out
- Salvages transmission case that has one or two blown lugs
Note: Requires modification to the intermediate clutch backing plate
