Rated 3 out of 5 by from Electric Fuel Pump Pump pusher the fuel but is vert loud. At idle it is louder than the electric fan w/ engine running. The insulator needs to be beefed up to handle the vibration or redesign w/ baffles .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Speedmaster vs Mr. Gasket Holley Red ($160), Mr. Gssket ($145), NOS Sniper ($93), Holley White Box (out of stock, and I think the price was around $40) and this Speedmaster ($62). If you start comparing all these pumps, you’ll see they are extremely similar. I’ll be comparing it to the Mr. Gasket because that’s what I had on before. The only major differences are that the Mr. Gasket has a screen on the infeed of the pump. Also, the Mr. Gasket motor shaft fits flush with the rotor whereas the Speedmaster uses some sort of rubber or plastic spacer(rotor picture). The Speedmaster uses a (steel?) fuel pressure regulator sleeve while the Mr. Gasket uses a brass one. Other than that, these pumps are the same aside from cosmetic changes. Those changes are not worth double the price imo. Some other reviews said the pump leaked (mine also leaked). The problem is the fuel pressure regulator gets stuck and does not open. I put a fuel pressure gauge on mine and it pushed 20 psi before I shut it off. I ended up swapping the regulator parts from the Mr. Gasket. If you do buy this pump, some things you should do/know -open up the bottom and inspect the housing for metal burrs - the speedmaster comes with fittings as shown in the picture - I’d recommend getting two of the pumps and pay the $11 for the 3 year warranty (same price as one reputable pump and you have an extra if you have to send one back) -the extended warranty is only good for one replacement (read the fine print) - the pump is loud. I’d suggest putting a piece of rubber between the pump and the mounting surface as well. -hook a fuel pressure gauge up when you try it to make sure the regulator is working - if a pump is defective, jegs WILL NOT send a prepaid label like one of their other review responses said. They will give you their “jegs discount” and you’ll pay $15 for a return label. Would I buy this product again? If the Holley White Box was out of stock again, yes, I’d probably buy this one again. My thought process is with how similar all these pumps are, any one could have an issue and it’s not worth it to me to pay more than double for a name.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wouldn’t work for me After arriving I tried to use it but it didn’t have enough suction. I called and was advised that it was the wrong pump for what I was using it on. A different pump was sent but it is the same issue. I’m going to move it closer to the tank and see what happens.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Immediately Leaked I bought this hoping to save a few dollars. Got it installed and plumbed, put fuel in the tank, and immediately noticed it was leaking from the pump body. I checked all my connections and everything was good. I removed the pump and took it apart, and found THEY FORGOT THE GASKET during assembly. The casting was also terrible and could have leaked even with the gasket. I RTV'd it up and tried to make it work, but when i put voltage to it, it seemed intermitant and still leaked. So... I went and bought one that was MADE IN USA, that worked the first time, and was easier to install.

Mine has no flow arrow. What is the direction of flow?

    Asked by: FS II
If you were to mount this flat to a wall right in front of you it would flow left to right. Another way to look at it is the 2 wires on top are placed slightly further to one side, the inlet is the opposite side of that.

I was wondering what the thread size was on inlet and outlet? I am running 3/8 line right now and really don't want to change that.
