Items You Need
Without Motor Mounts
Features:
- Perfect alignment of the Transmission input shaft. Using 3D Scanning technology, Low Range Off-Road was able to correctly align shaft centers, so no worn-out bearings and shafts from off-center alignment.
- Custom machined Chromoly hardware. This kit includes double-ended studs so that you do not have to drill out your transmission for the engine to transmission fitment.
- Includes hard-to-find starter bolts that are not included with other kits on the market
- No body lift should be necessary for 1.6L 16V engines with a little trimming of the throttle cable bracket and intake tube supports. 1.6L 8V engines will need either a 1 in. body lift, minor hood clearance adjustment, or the use of a 1.3L Carb to 1.6L 8V Fuel Injected Air Intake Adapter.
Notes:
- You will need the complete 1.6L engine with all the hoses and pulleys along with the fan, starter, alternator, coil, air cleaner, exhaust manifold, and head pipe.
- You can use your 1.3L intake manifold to run the stock carburetor or swap to the fuel injection from the 8-valve or 16-valve engines.
- To convert to fuel injection you will need the engine wiring harness, everything attached to the harness, the under dash wiring harness, ECM (computer), instrument cluster, and the air cleaner assembly.
- The donor vehicle’s wiring harness will need to be modified for use in the Samurai. There are a few companies that will modify your harness for a price.
- The Samurai speedometer will need the speed sensor from the donor vehicle adapted to it.
