4997 - Trans Dapt Universal Crossmember Motor Mounts is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It fits the 400 engine block. 1978 ford 400 going into 1963 ford pickup Reading other reviews about having to modify the mount to fit the block and footnotes on the product about varying ford block widths I expected to have to return this. What they don't seem to know to tell us is that the Trans Dapt motor mounts are different than stock motor mounts even though they look similar in the photos. You need the motor mounts just order the kit that includes them. I had measured the width of the stock 3 bolt motor mounts to be approx 19 inches. I went to local store and tried the stock 2 bolt pre-1972 cleavland 2 bolt motor mount they measured 14 inches. Went ahead and ordered the kit with motor mounts cause I needed them anyway. Bolted right up to the block no problems. Haven't installed the motor in truck frame yet but I see no problems to predict. Kit came in 2 days and was complete with everything listed. Packaging should be better all parts were just loos in box with a little bit of brown paper kinda scratched the finish as they rattled around against each other. Not a deal killer as will be painting truck frame anyway.
