What Are The Top AEM X-Series Digital Gauges?

The three most popular AEM x series gauges include the wideband UEGO AFR sensor controller gauge, the oil / fuel pressure gauge, and the boost pressure gauge.

How Much Do AEM X-Series Digital Gauges Cost?

AEM gauges X series start at around $140 for a volt gauge and increase to over $1500 for an AEM gauge set. The price varies depending on the type of gauge and number of gauges included in kits.

What Are The Main Benefits of AEM X-Series Digital Gauges?

AEM X-Series digital gauges provide a precise measurement with LED numbers, taking the guesswork out of reading a traditional analog needle and hash marks on a faceplate. They also are designed with a shallow depth for tight installation areas.

How To Install AEM X-Series Digital Gauges

Depending on the gauge, the installation steps will vary. However, mounting for the gauges either can be within a dash or in a gauge mounting cup. Below are the available gauges and general installation instructions for each:

  • Wide Band gauge - Connects to the oxygen sensor for air / fuel ratio input and connects to the ignition (key on only) circuit and a ground for power. It can be connected to an optional data logger.
  • Oil Pressure gauge - Receives input from an oil pressure sensor that is threaded into an engine oil passage. It connects to the ignition (key on only) circuit and a ground for power and can be connected to an optional data logger.
  • Boost Pressure gauge - Connects to a pressure sensor in a pipe between the compressor side of a turbocharger or supercharger and the throttle body or on the intake manifold for input. It also connects to the ignition (key on only) circuit and a ground for power and can be connected to an optional data logger.
  • GPS Speedometer gauge - Connects to the ignition (key on only) circuit and a ground for power. It also connects to a GPS receiver to provide vehicle speed and can be connected to an optional data logger.
  • OBDII gauge – Simple installation with the connector that is included to the OBDII port in your vehicle under the dash.
  • Fuel Pressure gauge - Connects to a pressure sensor in a fuel line for input and connects to the ignition (key on only) circuit and a ground for power. It can be connected to an optional data logger.
  • Water / Transmission Fluid / Oil Temperature gauge - Receives input from a temperature sensor that is threaded into a water, transmission fluid, or engine oil passage. In addition, it connects to the ignition (key on only) circuit and a ground for power and can be connected to an optional data logger.
  • Volt gauge - Connects to the ignition (key on only) circuit and a ground for power.
  • EGT gauge - This exhaust gas temperature gauge receives input from a temperature sensor that is threaded into the exhaust, upstream of the turbine inlet (turbocharged applications) or downstream of the header collector / exhaust manifold (normally aspirated applications). In addition, it connects to the ignition (key on only) circuit and a ground for power and can be connected to an optional data logger.
