Building on their 20+ year history of supercharging America's pony car, the Ford Mustang, ProCharger systems produce the coolest charge air temperatures and largest power gains available for your BOSS 302 Mustang. Utilizing the patented and proven, self-contained ProCharger P-1SC-1 supercharger making 8.5 psi of boost, a highly effective air-to-air intercooler, and a dedicated 8-rib drive, the Stage II System can add 220 or more HP to an otherwise stock Boss 302 running high quality pump gas. With custom tuning, 700+ HP is possible with 8.5 psi!
Stage II Systems for BOSS 302's also feature a large, front mounted intercooler, fabricated coolant tank, specially-designed radiator fan shroud assembly and a large air filter. Installation of the Stage II components requires minor trimming to the inside of the stock lower front bumper cover (factory engine cover does not require modification or trimming). Additionally, the ProCharger design allows retention of the factory BOSS intake, as well as the strut tower brace.
ProCharger systems are supplied with fuel injectors, proven tuning calibrations and a handheld programmer set for a 50%+ (P-1SC-1, 8.5 psi) or 55%+ (P-1X, 8.5 psi) power gain over stock, running pump gas. Featuring the most advanced and durable superchargers, with the industry's coolest charge air temperatures, much higher power levels are possible with higher boost and custom tuning.

ProCharger supercharger kits are produced from the finest materials available. All castings are poured from "virgin" 356 aluminum alloy and heat-treated to a T-6 hardness before CNC machining. ATI's exclusive billet impellers are machined from 7075 T-6 aircraft aluminum, while the super precision bearings used in all ProCharger models are made in the USA, and are of a consistently higher quality and speed/load rating than those used by any of our competitors. In fact, ProCharger superchargers are so reliable that they are used as standard equipment by many leading boat manufacturers in the extremely demanding marine environment.
Fuel-injected automotive and truck ProCharger Systems are generally 100% complete, with all the components needed for an attractive, OEM-quality installation. An exception is larger fuel injectors, as some systems exclude these, especially if larger fuel injectors are only needed for upgraded boost and power levels. All hardware is of the highest quality, and fuel-injected systems include a high-flow external fuel pump as standard equipment if necessary for proper fuel delivery. Most Intercooled ProCharger kits can be installed in 8-10 hours with simple hand tools. Carbureted systems can generally be installed in 4-6 hours. All ProCharger kits contain extremely thorough installation instructions with plenty of photos, illustrations and diagrams to help ensure a successful installation.

Optional P-1X High Efficiency Street/Strip Supercharger Upgrade
The ProCharger P-1X head units feature the robust, self-contained gearcase that is standard on most ProCharger models, but with a new aerodynamic compressor design that creates cooler charge air temperatures and more horsepower at the same boost level than our industry-standard P-1SC-1. This higher efficiency design was engineered to be a bolt-in replacement for P-1SC-1 equipped systems and has even greater max-power potential.
These new designs are built on the same proven technology that propels the P-1SC-1 and models to near 4-digit power numbers and slightly beyond, and feature the same step-up ratio. The compressor side of the supercharger (the volute and impeller) was redesigned with greater efficiency and less parasitic engine load in mind. This means less heat and less power needed to turn spin the impeller–and that adds up to more horsepower.
The P-1X supercharger fits into the same brackets as P-1SC-1 system and will be an optional upgrade for those who want increased performance on otherwise stock, modern V8 engines–to the tune of 10-15 more flywheel horsepower at the same pulley size!
