Exhaust Cutout

An exhaust cutout is an aftermarket modification that allows a driver to control the exhaust flow and sound of their vehicle's exhaust system. The cutout is typically installed in the exhaust system downstream of the headers and before the muffler or resonator. The cutout is designed to be opened and closed using a cable or electric motor, which can be operated by the driver from inside the vehicle. When the cutout is open, the exhaust gases bypass the muffler or resonator and exit directly from the exhaust pipe, resulting in a louder and more aggressive exhaust note.
