Phoenix Systems, a research & design company with dozens of patents to their credit, specializes in brake-related products. JEGS offers their bestsellers: BrakeStrips and brake bleeder kits. A simple diagnostic tool when dipped in brake fluid, BrakeStrips are small plastic strips with color-changing tips (white to varying shades of purple) that indicate the fluid's copper level. The resulting color helps determine whether the brake fluid needs replaced. Excess copper left unchecked can accelerate corrosion and/or form deposits.
