Advance Adapters 50-8603 Features:
- The Jeep AX15 and TR-4050 adapter to the Jeep Dana 300 adapter is .750 in. in length. Due to the AX15 and Dana 300 having two different rotations, this in.clocking in. ring will allow the two units to be bolted together and provide the Dana 300 with four rotation angles.
- Our adapter / rotation ring kit consist of a Dana 300 rotation ring, gaskets, fastening hardware and adapter instructions.
- Transfer case
- The adapter assembly will fit the Jeep Dana 300. This transfer case was used in the 1980-'86 CJ-7 series. All 300s use a 23 spline female input shaft. Some of the adapters we manufacture include a new Dana 300 input with a different input spline. Therefore, if you obtain a Dana 300 from a salvage yard, please verify the input spline.
- Transmission
- On the Jeep AX15 transmission is a medium-duty, standard shift, five-speed transmission found in 1989-1999 Jeep XJ, YJ & TJ models coupled with the 258 / 4.0L engines. The overall case length is 24.00 in.. The output shaft is 23 spline and protrudes approx .400 in..
- NOTE: If using the Jeep AX5 transmission, we offer kit PN50-3021.
- The AW4 4 speed automatic can also be used with this kit. Note: a new Dana 300 short front retainer needs to be purchased PN716220 when using the AW4 automatic. Modifications are needed due to a ½ in. positive stick-out past the tailhousing on both transmissions.
- NOTE: THIS IS NOT A FLIP KIT, THE DANA 300 WILL STILL BE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT DROP!!!
