For less than the cost of an OE axle shaft, you can upgrade to an Alloy USA Performance Axle Shaft. Axles are heat-treated, tempered, and induction hardened to twice the tensile strength of stock; they're up to 35% stronger. The latest splining technology yields splines that are tougher than those cut traditionally (no cuts = less chance of fracture).
