500143 - American Autowire Courtesy Lights & Connection Kits is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made, may be tricky to install. I was surprised to find a non-OEM replacement for my 1967 Mustang trunk light. The American Autowire 500143 is very well made and approximates the size and mounting of the original fixture in my car. It does come with a significantly higher wattage bulb, but will accept the original 631 bulb. In first generation Mustangs you have to watch out for this, as the courtesy light fuse is only 7.5 amps. If you can mount this fixture such that the bracket can be bent up and down, it will work with no problem and will probably have to be bent down at least 10 degrees to get it to turn off when you close the trunk. If you have to mount it such that the bracket is sideways (i.e. can only bend side to side), which is the case if you want to use the original mounting hole in '67, '68, '69 Mustang, it almost certainly will not work as is. To use the original mounting hole in my '67 I had to fabricate an adapter that allowed me to rotate the fixture down by 10 degrees, to get it to turn off when I closed the trunk. This worked great, is invisible to the untrained eye, and was an excellent fix overall.
