Rated 5 out of 5 by from B&M Flexplates I JUST PURCHASED PART #20230 INTERNALLY BALANCED SFI29:1 BIG BLOCK CHEVY FLEXPLATE. I HEARD THEY WERE VERY STRONG AND MADE VERY WELL OUT OF CHROME MOLY STEEL! MY PREVIOUS FLEXPLATE. WAS ALSOSFI29:1 APPROVED BUT UNFORTUNATELY THERE WERE 3 TEETH MISSING ON IT DONT NO HOW THIS HAPPENED CUZ THE STARTER GEAR LIGNED UP PERFECTLY WITH THE RING GEAR AND FLEXPLATE NEEDING NO SHIMS FOR ADJUSTMENT ETC. I WAS TOLD IT HAPPENS SO I DECIDED TO GO WITH A B&M FLEXPLATE IVE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH ALL OF B&M RACING PRODUCTS ETC. SO IM HOPING IT WILL HOLD UP AND LAST A WHILE ITS BEHIND A MERLIN 111 BLOCK WITH A 555 BIG BLOCK MOTOR N/A WITH 750 HORSEPOWER AND 710 POUNDS OF TORQUE SO WE WILL SEE!

How do I determine if rear seal is 1 or 2 piece ? Will this flexplate work with either ? This is for a new GM 350 engine made in Mexico and purchased from Jegs.

    Asked by: Clemhobbs 27
This flexplate will only work with the 2 piece ream main seal engine. You can look on our website at the engine you purchased and will will tell you whether it is a 1 or 2 piece rear main seal engine.

How do I determine if my engine is internally or externally balanced ? Thanks

    Asked by: Clemhobbs 27
The original flexplate and harmonic balancer will have a small weight on them if the engine is externally balanced.
