    Chevrolet Performance engineers matched the engines and transmissions for optimal performance and durability, so you can wring out every horsepower from them with total confidence! The specially calibrated controllers are designed for retrofit installations in older vehicles, for easier and quicker installation and operation without the need for third-party tuning.
    The convenience of a crate engine, the assurance of factory validate performance and the value of an inclusive package - that's what you get with Chevrolet Performance's Connect & Cruise crate powertrain systems.
    Each kit delivers a brand-new, fully assembled crate engine, a brand-new or remanufactured electronically controlled overdrive transmission, and the electronic transmission control module to get it all running in your project vehicle.
    Chevrolet Performance engineers matched the engines with their respective transmissions, ensuring they are up to the task of channeling big power with absolute dependability. The engine is traditional Big-Block Chevy design that was a staple for decades in rear wheel drive production-vehicles. The connect & cruise systems' unique SuperMatic transmission controllers is designed to work with the carbureted engine for a seamless, "plug-and-play" installation that is quick, easy and intuitive. Detailed instructions outline all the necessary steps.
    The engineers did all the hard work of designing and calibrating perfectly matched powertrain systems - and they covered them with a 24-month/50,000-mile limited warranty.


    502 HO Engine
    What will you do with 461 horsepower and 558 lb.-ft. of torque from Chevrolet Performance's value-driven 502 HO crate engine? Whether you use it on the street, strip or even pulling a trailer with your workhorse truck, its performance range offers unlimited possibilities. In fact, it makes nearly 500 lb.-ft. by only 1,750 rpm, meaning it has all the low-rpm grunt you can use!
    To support all that torque, this Big-Block starts with the latest-generation block casting with four-bolt main caps and built with all-forged rotating assembly for exceptional strength and durability. A hydraulic roller camshaft is used for excellent drivability and a broad performance range; and an 8.75:1 compression ratio is suitable for regular pump gas at all altitudes and engine loads.
    This crate engine assembly includes an aluminum, dual-plane intake manifold, a water pump, 14-inch flexplate, balancer and more. You simply add the carburetor, starter and ignition system.
