  • Cam bearing bores machined for 2.250'' OD roller bearings (1.875'' ID)
  • Cylinder bore wall thickness is 0.250'' minimum at 4.190'' maximum bore
  • Oldsmobile Aurora V8 bellhousing bolt pattern (12.25" maximum flywheel diameter)
  • Machined as 4.400'' bore and main center (can be machined to 4.500'' bore centers)
  • Must use big block water pump (for balancers larger than 6'', raise water pump with adapter)

    Proven in NASCAR and NHRA, Chevrolet Performance Bow Tie Race Blocks produce big power. These cast iron engine blocks use premium materials throughout and have full race-prep CNC-machining with tighter tolerances than standard Bow Tie Blocks.

  • CNC-machined for +/- 0.001'' tolerances
  • SAE 8620 steel 4-bolt mains (20° splayed caps on the three center mains)
  • Extra-thick main bearing bulkhead machined at 5°
  • Priority main oiling system
  • Siamese bores
  • Nominal wall thickness of cylinder bores is 0.340''
  • Enlarged cam bosses allow custom machining for larger bearings
  • Bearing cap inner bolts spread 0.210'' to accept machining of 400 journal crankshafts
  • Extra-thick deck surfaces have blind-tapped head bolt holes for superior head gasket sealing
  • Cylinder decks, front and rear of case, oil pan rail surfaces, and head dowel pins are blueprinted
