    Digital Thermatic Fan Switch

This exclusively designed Digital Thermatic Fan Switch Kit can be used with Thermatic Electric Fans, EWP's and competitors Fans. It senses air temperature as it passes through the radiator with the sensor placed in the radiator fin section or the sensor can now also be placed directly into the coolant system in combination with a Temperature Sensor Adaptor Kit (Part # 317-DC-0409). It can be used for 12 or 24* volt applications and has an adjustable temperature range of 104ºF to 230ºF (40°C to 110°C) which can show Centigrade or Fahrenheit. Temp is set by pressing the set button. It can run 1 or 2 fans. The second fan (if applicable) will start 10 seconds after Fan #1 runs. It operated thermally & also when the air conditioning is in operation.

    Specifications:

    • Max voltage: 12 to 27V (For 24V, relays need to be changed, not supplied in kit)
    • Max current: 40A per Fan
    • Relay setup: Dual relay
    • Speed: Single speed, 10 second delay to start up the second fan
    • Applications: Suitable for single and dual fan applications
    • Screen Display: LED digital temp display, actual temp + set temp
    • Temp Display: Centigrade or Fahrenheit
    • Temp settings: 40°c to 110°c (104°F to 230°F)
    • Temp setting: Push Button
    • Circuit type: Pre-programmed micro controller
    • Output wires: Batt + Batt - IGN, AC Clutch, Fan #1, Fan #2 Thermistor Probe
    • Dimensions: 3-3/4" (95mm) x 2-9/16" (65mm) x 2-3/16" (56mm)
    • The unit is NOT WaterProof

*Note: if using this switch for use with our EWP's, it will not vary the speed of the pump in response to engine temperature but rather turn the pump on and off at your set temperature. For EWP control, we would recommend part number 8001 which can manage both the EWP and your Thermatic Fans.

*Note: Kit sold in 12 volt configuration, for 24 volt application, you will need to change the two relays with 2 x 24 volt units which are not supplied in the kit.

Davies Craig Digital Thermatic Switches automatically activate single or twin fans or a fan and Electric Water Pump at your set / targeted temperature when extra cooling is required.

Davies Craig offers three types of Thermatic Fan Switches:

Mechanical Thermatic Fan Switch (Part # 317-DC-0401 or Part # 317-DC-0400 Combo Kit) senses the coolant temperature after it passes through the engine block prior to entering the radiator, or combo kit offering probe placement in the top radiator hose.

Digital Thermatic Fan Switch (Part # 317-DC-0444) senses air temperature near the top radiator hose as it passes through the radiator or senses coolant temperature (with part # 317-DC-0409)for single or twin fan operation.

Premium Digital Thermatic Switch (Part # 317-DC-0455) senses both air or coolant temperatures (with part # 317-DC-0409), single or twin fan operation, attractive dashboard mounted monitor.

    Thermatic Fan Switches Feature:

    • Automatically activate the electric fans at the set/targeted temperature when cooling is required.
    • Can be adjusted over a wide temperature range.
    • Can be used to operate the electric water pump when operated as an auxiliary pump to the mechanical water pump.
