Performer RPM E-TEC 170 Aluminum Cylinder Heads
Feature 170cc Vortec-shaped intake and 65cc exhaust ports. Flow 20% more on the exhaust side than cast iron Vortec heads and produce power up to 6000 RPM. 64cc combustion chamber gives about 9.2:1 compression ratio with stock pistons in a 350. Includes 1.94'' intake and 1.55'' exhaust valves. Tech Tip: To gain more spark plug clearance, Edelbrock recommends using Champion RC Series plugs such as the RC12YC (P/N 192-49776). They are 0.230'' shorter than a conventional spark plug and have a 5/8'' hex for easier access.
Engineered to greatly increase performance and efficiency, E-TEC heads fit SB-Chevy 302-400ci engines with ''Vortec'' style intake manifolds. These powerful heads incorporate Edelbrock's high-quench combustion chamber which promotes a more uniform atomization of the air/fuel mixture for more power. Spark plugs have been positioned closer to the center of the cylinder for more efficient combustion. Swirl-polished stainless steel valves provide maximum flow. They accept center bolt or standard valve covers, work with most stock exhaust manifolds and have intake and exhaust ports that are .200'' taller than typical SB-Chevy heads.
