Flowmaster's American Thunder exhaust systems are made for the do-it-yourselfer looking for a system that truly bolts on and fits without modification, and delivers the added benefits of increased horsepower, torque and mileage over the stock system. Our American Thunder system for 1986-1991 Camaros and Firebirds with V8 engines (single 2.5-inch flanged catalytic converter) is constructed from 409S stainless steel and backed by our Limited Lifetime warranty making it the last system you will ever need to purchase. The 3.00-inch mandrel bent Cat-back system consists of a flanged cat adapter and mid pipe that follows the factory routing back over the rear axle and into a specially designed Flowmaster 80 series crossflow muffler. The dual 3.00-inch tailpipes exit out the back under the rear valence in the typical OEM configuration and are topped off by full length polished T304 stainless tips. All the necessary parts and hardware are included for a great fitting installation. This American Thunder system will typically produce a moderate interior and exterior sound level.
