This full competition PRO-III 10" Torque Converter consistently has a hard launch yet soft transition down the track with the ability to repeat. In many cases, 60' times will only vary a few thousandths from the first to last round. Hughes custom converters are the finest available, and they incorporate several upgrades.

    Features
  • Torrington bearings
  • New springs & rollers
  • Silicon spot-brazed fins
  • Redesigned internal sprag
  • Dual anti-ballooning plates
  • 4130 chromemoly turbine hub
  • Forged aluminum stator (multiplies torque better than steel)

Each converter is handcrafted to suit your application only. Combining various fin angles, stators, turbine clearances, and sprags, Hughes assembles a winning unit every time. To build your new converter, Hughes needs the following information: engine & carburetor sizes, transmission type, vehicle weight, camshaft specs, rear end ratio, motor plate thickness and, in some cases, your desired stall ratio.
