Rated 1 out of 5 by from Difficult time using this product Although it may be my fault/cause, I found it difficult to put an AN hose end on this braided hose. I had the majority of the issues trying to get a clean cut on the hose. Every time I cut it, the braided steel seemed to flare out, making it very difficult to fit a hose end over. During my trials, I ended up varying the number of layers and type of tape, all in all wasting over a foot of material. Once frustrated enough, I took out my micrometer, the fitting opening measuring at 1/2", the uncut braided hose at 9/16". At this point I decided to buy another hose and scrap this item.

In details it says “Stainless steel inner braid and seamless nitrile inner tube” in overview it says” uses a seamless synthetic rubber inner tube” So my question is, is it nitrile or rubber tubing? Makes a difference when you need it for a transmission

    Asked by: Bambam
The Jegs 555-100911 hose uses Nitrile which is a synthetic rubber.
