FAQ
What does the Y-pipe do in the exhaust?
- The Y-pipe, like the JEGS 555-31006 for the 1995 Chevy K1500 with 5.7 Vortec, merges exhaust from both sides, improving flow and performance.
What is the difference between an H-pipe and a Y-pipe exhaust?
- Compared to an H-pipe, a Y-pipe, such as the Chevy Y-pipe 555-31006, offers a simpler design, effectively combining exhaust gases for enhanced power.
Where does the Y-pipe connect to?
- The 1998 K1500 Y-pipe, like the JEGS 555-31006, connects to the exhaust system, typically merging the flow from both exhaust manifolds.
What is an off-road Y-pipe?
- An off-road Y-pipe, like the JEGS 555-31006, is designed without catalytic converters, allowing for increased exhaust flow and performance gains.
