- Automatic transmissions must have their kick-down and shift points properly adjusted and verified before installation of the EFI system for maximum performance.
JEGS 555-16800 Bandit Series EFI Throttle Body System Quality Control Process:
- Each JEGS Bandit fuel injection system goes through a quality control process on a test engine that simulates the operation of a vehicle. The ECU and all components included with each unit never separate throughout the testing process.
- We evaluate the complete system to ensure everything is operating properly with these tests:
- Wiring harness continuity
- The fuel system is brought up to 58 LBS of fuel pressure to ensure there are no fuel leaks
- The engine is started and the ECU is checked to verify it’s communicating with the rest of the system. While the system is learning, the air-fuel ratios are verified to make sure they are in operational range as well as all sensors are functioning normally
- The manual idle setting is adjusted
- Once testing is completed the engine is shut down and the EFI system is carefully removed keeping the main wire harness attached to the throttle body and never separated
- This quality control process is performed to ensure you are getting the best product money can buy
JEGS 555-16800 Bandit Series EFI Throttle Body System Notes
- Cannot be used with Leaded or E-85 fuel.
- This system will not work with the following race-oriented ignition systems:
- MSD Digital 7AL
- MSD Digital 7AL-2
- MSD Digital 7AL-3
- MSD Digital 8-Plus
- All low-pressure fuel hoses, fittings, and clamps must be replaced with EFI-rated components capable of a minimum of 58 psi.
- This kit does not include the fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, or fuel lines. The vehicle's fuel system must be capable of ensuring the proper fuel supply, 58 psi, required by the EFI system
- JEGS 15440 4-barrel Adapter Kit can be used to adapt to a spread bore intake manifold

Happy with purchase
I bought this in March of 2023 and for my 1985 Chevy k10.
When I fired up the truck for the first time it took off with no issues. When it came to tuning I had a hard time. Mostly because of self inflict issues.
Make sure there are no exhaust leaks before the O2 sensor. Check multiple times after running. This was my biggest problem. I had issues with the no power at top end and it ended up being my setting in fast fuel and accel fuel. Still tweaking it but super happy with it.
I found that it is not plug and play, needs tuning which has taken a lot of time but I've heard that this is true with all of them.

Works great!
Bought this awhile back and finally put it on my c10 with a 355ci engine and have been driving it daily for 2 weeks now and have had no issues it runs great way better than when I had a carburetor on it instructions were easy to follow if your looking for a reliable efi system I would recommend buying this efi kit.

Super happy with this
Bought this for my 85 square body. I had my doubts but once I hooked it up the truck came to life on its first crank. It is very responsive and super easy to set up. I haven't taken it out on the road yet but I will update as soon as I do.

Jegs Bandit EFI, Doesn't get any better than this!
I recently finished a 9 year restoration on my 64 Malibu SS. Being on a budget I topped off my SBC 355 cid with a QF 600cfm slayer. Dont get me wrong, it ran fine, drove ok but it just seemed so "carbureted." Typical rough cold starts, had to let it warm up, Seemed so old school. I decided I wanted to update my engine to EFI, after much research and counting the money in my wallet I opted to buy the Bandit EFI. Honestly, being on a budget it was my #1 reason for selecting the Jeg's system. In a nutshell.... I was blown away, after an easy install, I hit the start button and I had the new car smell all over again. Cold starts are a dream, the carb had a lag off the start ( now gone ) previously when driving it had an uneven cruise, -almost like a misfire. Needles to say EVERY aspect of an old carb'd vehicle are gone. A M A Z I N G. If you are considering EFI, for the price point this system can't be beat.

Installation was an absolute breeze. Was having issues with my carbureted 355 sbc not wanting to stay running. Bough he JEGS EFI bandit system and truck fired right up. Couldn’t be happier

Could be better
The install was fairly simple. Doesn’t say if the ecm is supposed to be mounted inside the cab or not. The mount for the controller is garbage. Wont even hold up the weight of the controller. Doesn’t come with any mounting hardware or throttle linkage accessories. It looks nice though

I have a Edelbrock intake with a 750 double pumper currently on my Pontiac 455 Big Block, would this fit my intake? And also, how much cfm does this system produce?
The Jegs 555-16800 throttle body will bolt on to an Edelbrock intake.
