    So if this does not have a kickdown, I would assumed that on my column in my truck I would have to manually downshift to 2 then 1 coming to a complete stop then back into drive or 1, 2 then D for 3rd gear or is it vacuum controlled?

    The Jegs 555-60300K transmission does not have a kickdown. It does retain automatic shifting.
