Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got the Job done. I purchased this tool to change my springs on my car. The company who I bought the springs from had an installation video and used a similar one. I then asked my brother who's a mechanic and sent him 3 different styles and he also pick this one. Jegs had the lowest price so I purchased it. We changed out my front springs with ease using this tool. I highly recommend as with all tools learn how to use them before you do. Good luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best of the Compressors Spring compressors are something you shouldn't try to find quick short-cut ways to use, this product provides security and confidence while in use. The price was more than reasonable and the ease of use is great. Solidly built, it should last a lifetime.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from well constructed This item is very well built and very rugged. It, however, is designed for springs that are divorced from the shock; i.e. NOT for coil-overs! I purchased this item to compress the spring in my coil-over struts and the spring windings were too close together for the compressor "hooks" to fit over the windings. This is designed for LARGE springs with much space between the loops so you can get the hooks to fit over the coil. It also has a lock that will allow you to leave the compressor on the spring for a time without removing it and then reapplying it to the spring. Good quality...but not a universal type fit. I ended up returning it for a refund and Jegs was very good about accepting it back and giving me a full refund. I did have to pay shipping both ways though.
