    Manley builds some of the best internal engine components available. Manley's rotating assemblies are filled with their best stuff and make building a high performance small block foundation, easy! The core of the assembly is Manley's forged 4340 non-twist lightweight design internal balance crankshaft, forged 4340 steel H-beam connecting rods with 7/16'' rod bolts, and forged aluminum platinum series pistons. The ''Classic Race'' conventional-style piston ring set features high performance ductile iron (with plasma moly in-lay) top rings, reverse twist cast iron taper face second rings and three piece oil rings. Also includes Clevite ''H'' series rod bearings and ''P'' series main bearings.

    Crankshaft Features:
    Manley builds one of the best crankshafts available for our high performance world! Many engine building superstars rely on Manley forgings to throw down the horsepower numbers we demand, pass after pass. Manley starts with a 4340 steel non-twist forging that undergoes an extensive heat treating and stress relieving process. After that, it is shot peened, nitrided and 100% magnafluxed to ensure complete structural integrity was maintained throughout the forging process for durability and longevity.

Manley uses domestic 2618 high strength alloy forgings and unique (to Manley) fixturing allowing skirt turning / ring groove machining be performed in one single operation to ensure the ultimate ring groove to skirt squareness for better ring seal. Cam and barrel (skirt) profiles that make power but are friendly on the cylinder walls. Manley is well known for their high quality valvetrain components, but insiders also trust and use Manleys top quality pistons and connecting rods.
